Bruce Sodders, 59, of Richmond, MO was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident that occurred on Business MO 10, East of Swafford Road. The time of the accident was at 5:14PM on May 1st. Sodders was transported to Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Sodders was the occupant of a 1995 Chevrolet Corsica driven by Gladys Stafford, 44, also of Richmond. Stafford sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Life Flight to Liberty Hospital.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop A, the accident occurred as Robert Aliff, 38, of Richmond fell asleep behind the wheel of a 1996 Jeep Cherokee. His vehicle crossed the center line and hit Stafford's vehicle head on. Aliff sustained moderate injuries and was transported by Ray County EMS to Ray County Hospital.
