St. Charles, MO Man Killed In Car Accident

Alfredo Robles, 67, of St. Charles, MO was killed in an accident on April 13th which occurred on the southbound Route Z, south of Stealey Road around 6:18 AM in St. Charles County. Robles was the occupant of a 1994 Plymouth Sundance that was driven by Juan C Avila- Hernandes, 24, of O' Fallon, MO. Also in the vehicle were Leonel Ortiz, 25 and Abraham Perez, 37, both of St. Charles, MO. Ortiz and Perez sustained minor injuries and were transported to St. Joseph's Hospital West by St. Charles County Ambulance. Avila- Hernandes sustained moderate injuries and was transported to St. Joseph's Health Center East by St. Charles County Ambulance.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop C, the accident occurred as a 2006 Peterbilt Dump Truck driven by Bradley Geeding, 30, of Troy, MO was traveling northbound on Route Z. Avila- Hernandes was traveling southbound on Route Z. Geeding failed to negotiate a curve and crossed over the center line and struck the left front of Avila- Hernandes' vehicle. Geeding sustained minor injuries and was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital West by St. Charles County Ambulance.

Oklahoma Man Dies in Boating Accident

William C. Ray, 53, of Newcastle, OK was pronounced dead by doctors at Lake Regional Health System around 11:00AM on April 21st. Ray was a passenger of a 2001, 18 foot Basstracker boat operated by Scott A. Kimble, 39, of Buhler, Kansas. Ray and Kimble were both thrown overboard when the boat struck two cruiser wakes near mile marker 17 around 9:30AM. Both men tried to swim to shore, however Ray was unable to make it to the nearby dock. Ray was retrieved from the water by by the Lake Ozark Fire Protection District's fire boat. Kimble sustained no injuries.

Jefferson County Accident Injures Three

Susan Harmon, 44, and Mary Sullins, 68, both of House Springs, MO sustained moderate injuries and was taken by Rock Township Ambulance to St. Anthony's Medical Center. Harmon was driving a 2000 Ford Focus at the time of the accident which occurred on April 10th at 11:40AM on Missouri 141 at Butler Commercial Park. Also involved in the accident was Doris Jefferson, 60, of Arnold, MO. Jefferson was driving a 1999 Ford Escort at the time of the accident. Jefferson sustained serious injuries and was flown to Barnes Jewish Hospital by Survival Flight. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop C, the accident occurred as Jefferson attempted to make a left turn and pulled into the path of Harmon causing Harmon's vehicle to strike the right side of Jefferson's vehicle.

Washington County Fatality

Trevor Wild, 18, of Potosi, MO was pronounced dead at the scene of an accident that occurred on April 9th, at about 7:40PM. The location of the accident was on Missouri Route P, North of Ridgely Road. Wild was an occupant of a 1994 Jeep Cherokee driven by Andrew Thurmond, 17, of Cadet, MO. Also involved in the accident was Bobby Revelle, 31, of Potosi, MO. Revelle was driving a 1998 Jeep Cherokee at the time of the accident. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop C, the accident occurred as Thurmond crossed the center line and struck Revelle head on.

Both Thurmond and Revelle sustained serious injuries and were taken to St. John's Mercy Medical Center, Creve Coeur, by Arch Helicopter. Wild's body was transported to Washington County Memorial Hospital by Washington County Coroner.

Cole County Accident

Dustin Hollandsworth, 24, of Eldon, MO was transported to Capital Region by Ambulance on March 30th after an accident that left him with moderate injuries. The accident occurred around 3:25PM in Cole County on US- 54 Eastbound at Honey Creek Road.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F, the accident occurred as John Ehrardt, 83, of Jefferson City, MO failed to yield to Hollandsworth. Ehrardt attempted to cross the roadway and traveled into the path of Hollandsworth. Hollandsworth's vehicle struck Ehrardt's vehicle in the driver's side. Hollandsworth was driving a 2002 Subaru and Ehrardt was driving a 1997 Chevrolet at the time of the accident.

Ehrardt sustained serious injuries and was transported to University Hospital by Staff For Life.

Madison County Accident Injures 4

Whitney Kemp, 18, of Fredericktown, MO sustained minor injuries after being involved in an accident in Madison County at around 3:05PM on April 9th. The location of the accident was on Business 67 in Cherokee Pass. Kemp had an occupant in her vehicle at the time of the accident who sustained serious injuries, that was Robert Berry, 40, also of Fredericktown, MO. Kemp was driving a 2000 Mercury when the accident occurred.

Also involved in the accident was Amber Lewis, 27 and her occupant Bruce Copeland, 41, both of Bixby, MO. Both sustained moderate injuries. Lewis was driving a 1997 Plymouth at the time of the accident.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop E, the accident occurred as Lewis failed to stop at a stop sign and drove into the path of Kemp. Both vehicles traveled off the road and down an embankment where both vehicles were burned.

Copeland and Lewis were both taken to by ambulance to Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown. Berry was taken by ambulance to Parkland Hospital in Farmington. Kemp was taken by private conveyance to Parkland Hospital in Farmington.

Laclede County Accident

Travis Clemen, 33 and Kimberly Darrow, 36, both of Lebanon were transported to St. John's Hospital in Lebanon by private vehicle on April 2nd following an accident that left them with minor injuries. The accident occurred on Highway MM at Pine Tree Drive in Laclede County at around 7:15PM. Darrow was driving a 1999 Dodge Intrepid at the time of the accident. Clemen was an occupant.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop I, the accident occurred as a vehicle driven by Dennis Hamilton, 43, of Lebanon made a left turn in front of Darrow's vehicle striking head on. Hamilton was driving a 1998 Neon at the time of the accident. He had two occupants in his vehicle at the time of the accident, they were James Talley, 37, of Phillipsburg, Mo and Johnathan Wilson, 47, of Lebanon, MO.

Hamilton sustained minor injuries and was transported to St. John's Hospital in Lebanon by private vehicle. Talley was transported to St. John's Hospital as well by St. John's Ambulance for treatment to moderate injuries. Wilson sustained serious injuries and was transported to St. John's Hospital in Springfield by St. John's Air Ambulance.

Exmark Pioneer S- Series Mowers Recalled

Exmark is recalling about 750 Pioneer S- Series lawn mowers. Federal regulators claim that the welds on the motion- control linkage can fail which can raise the risk of a crash. The failed welding causes you to lose control of the mower. Involved in the recall are 2011 zero-radius-turn riding mowers with red, welded tubular steel frames. Toy Truck Recalled

Infantino LLC, of San Diego, California is recalling about 40,500 toy activity trucks in the United States and about 1,900 in Canada. The name of the truck is "Troy the Activity Truck," which is blue, with red and yellow plastic star, circle and heart beads attached to the bead runs on the back of the truck and has a face on the front. The plastic beads on the activity truck's bead runs can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. Infantino has received 28 reports of the plastic beads detaching from the bead runs, including two reports of young children gagging on the plastic beads. Turkey Burger Recall

A Minnesota Firm is recalling trukey burger products due to a possible Salmonella contamination. Jennie- O- Turkey Store, a Willmar, Minnesota establishment is recalling about 55,000 pounds of frozen, raw turkey burger products that may be contaminated. Consumers are alerted to cook all raw turkey products to 165 degrees Farenheit and to use extra care to prevent becoming ill.
