Gilbert Wayne Kirkendoll, 40, of Moberly, MO was injured in an accident that occured Tuesday night at 11:00PM on Bertley Street in Moberly. According to the Moberly Monitor Index, Kirkendoll was working on a 1989 Ford Ranger, owned by April Stewart of Moberly, when an unknown driver came along and hit a 1991 Ford F150 that was parked behind Kirkendoll, causing him to become pinned between the two trucks. The vehicle that caused the crash then fled the scene. It is described as a red pickup with a dark colored camper shell.
Kirkendoll was treated at the scene and then transported to Moberly Regional Medical Center. Later he was transferred to a Columbia hospital for further treatment of a lacerated and broken left lower leg.
