Woman Injured in Lincoln County Crash

Carla Crews, 21, of Elsberry, Missouri, and Caleb Rowland, 19, of Winfield, Missouri were involved in a two vehicle crash March 20th. 2010 on southbound Route EE .2 miles south of Argentville Road.

According to the report of the Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop C, Rowland, driving a 2006 Chevy Silverado and using a blue emergency light, was following Crews, driving a 1990 Mercury Grand Marquis. Crews slowed began to yield to make a left turn at the same time Rowland was attempting to pass her on the left, causing his vehicle to strike her in the front driver door.

Crews was taken by Lincoln County Ambulance to St. Joseph West Hospital for treatment of her injuries. For more information about this crash, see the atricle published in the Hannibal Courier-Post

According to the Missouri 2008 Traffic Safety Compendium published by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 24.4% of crashes in Missouri had no fatalities but at least one or more person injured, a .5% decrease from 2007's percentage of 24.7.
