In what appears to be possibly the worst case of child sexual abuse by a physician in American history, Dr. Earl Bradley, a pediatrician formerly practicing in Lewes, Delaware, has been indicted on 103 counts of sexually abusing children who were patients of his practice. Since 2007, Dr. Bradley has been filming sexual acts with children in his exam rooms, some as young as 3 months old.
Multplie lawsuits have been filed against Dr. Bradley, and also against the Beebe Medical Center where he practiced for failure to report suspicisons of abuse to the appropriate licensing board. According to a current investigation by the Delaware Attorney General, it appears that as far back as 2004, the Delaware Board of Medical Practice may actually have been aware of Dr. Bradley being possibly unfit to practice.
